WHO?

Max Olesker is the taller one. Curly-haired. Jewish (a bit), foppish (a bit more). Ivan Gonzalez is the shorter one. A knitwear fan. He was, formerly, a bit chubby. Not sure what happened there.

WHAT?

Together, they write and perform comedy here -

• Max and Ivan’s Roffle Club – Time Out critics’ choice evening of sketch and character comedy.
• Jongleurs/Highlight – Stand-up comedy. ‘The circuit’. Beer. Heckling. And us, doing jokes.
• Pleasance – Edinburgh’s finest comedy venue. Max and Ivan are… Holmes and Watson was at the Cellar. The Wrestling was in the Grand, ridiculously enough.
• Latitude Festival – Britain’s politest festival. We hit the Cabaret tent, alongside Late Night Gimp Fight, Camille O’Sullivan and many other beautiful people.
• Hammersmith Apollo – Astoundingly, we performed here in September, compering an evening of variety. The mind boggles.
• We also won the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Panel Prize in 2011. It’s unlikely that they’ll stop harping on about this incessantly in the near future.

WHAT ELSE?

When not united by comedy, Max writes for Esquire magazine and conducts the occasional pro-wrestling bout, whilst Ivan makes futuristic games with Hide&Seek and futuristic theatre with non zero one.

Max and Ivan are performing at the Edinburgh Fringe 2011 as part of Ditto Productions
