Where to see Max and Iván

THE ONLY WAY IS LEICESTER

Deeply splendid fun was had at the Leicester Comedy Festival, with a sold-out performance of Holmes and Watson – thanks to all who came and filled the Belmont Hotel with human bodies and laughter! The return to London was a post-apocalyptic hellride through a snowbound wilderness – Ivan’s remarkably accurate driving was all that kept us alive (thankfully he’s recently given up drink-driving, on a bet). The Roffle Club is happening tomorrow – snow be [...]

The Guardian Guide - 07 Feb

Check. It. Out. In a beautiful and auspicious prelude to the EPIC SIX-NIGHT SOHO THEATRE RUN of our show ‘Max and Ivan are Holmes and Watson’, the good people of the Guardian have recommended us in the Guide! Here’s proof, and everything (and don’t worry about losing your sight trying to read it – just click the picture for the article): And we’re in damn good company, sharing a page with Simon Munnery (he’s at the bottom, [...]

★WE’RE GOING TO THE GOD DAMN SOHO THEATRE FOR SIX GOD DAMN NIGHTS ★

Holmes and Watson at the Soho Theatre

How can one best convey the feeling of pure, white-knuckle, terror-flecked excitement? For six wildly-ambitious nights, we’re taking ‘Holmes and Watson’ to the infamous Soho Theatre. It’s a venue which has played host to Tim Key, Tim Minchin, Kim Noble, Rich Hall, The Pajama Men, Adam Riches, Jimmy Carr and now, somehow… us.

Holmes and Watson at the Leicester Square Theatre!

YES! We’re hitting the beautiful Leicester Square Theatre with ‘Max and Ivan are Holmes and Watson’, for a London triple jump (it’s not quite a ‘run’) of three shows! Book your tickets now, or your children will never love you (and if you don’t have children, other people’s children will irrationally turn on you).

DEM DATES:

THURSDAY 27th OCTOBER

FRIDAY 4th NOVEMBER

MONDAY 7th NOVEMBER

M&I @ the O2

O2

If I had a pound for every time we shared a gig with Tinchy Stryder, I would literally have no money. But that’s about to change – we’re hitting Livefest, the UK’s *biggest* indoor festival, where we’ll be lighting up the comedy stage at precisely 8pm-ish. It’s at the O2 in Greenwich, it’ll be in a swanky club of some kind, and it’s going to be more fun than getting baked with N-Dubz and the [...]

When I say “Longitude”, you say….

latitude

“This is the worst call and response game ever!” And rightly so. But you might also say “Latitude”, which is the name of the stonkingly-awesome festival we’re performing at this week. I don’t need to ramble on – you’re aware of Latitude, of course you are. This year’s line-up is arousing: personal highlights from across the board include Bombay Bicycle Club, Eels, Modern Toss, Tim Crouch, non zero one (Ivan’s outrageously successful and cool emerging theatre [...]

Comedians. Wrestlers. Blood.

The Wrestling

On Monday 15th August at the Pleasance Grand, THE WRESTLING is officially going to happen. Tickets have just gone on sale. We are too excited.

World-class wrestlers meet world-class comedians in a late night, heart-pounding, edge-of-your seat spectacular. For one night only the Edinburgh Fringe will be turned upside-down, as punchlines meet clotheslines in an epic and extraordinary battle of Good versus Evil. Rules will be broken. Blood may be spilt. Explosions will definitely happen. Bring signs, bring costumes [...]

‘Tis the season to be previewing

WE'RE COMIN' LAHNDAN!

Today is a wonderful day – not only have tickets for Max and Ivan are… Holmes and Watson gone on sale but we have also confirmed some brilliant preview slots! We’ve got a double-bill with The Beta Males in the Pleasance (with the most perfect name – BETAMAX) and our very own hour in the Leicester Square Theatre. We’ll be performing at the Buxton Fringe and also have Latitude coming up. There’s going to be [...]

The Comedy Crawl! We’re on it!

Comedy Crawl

We’ve all crawled through Camden at some point in our lives. It’s an inevitability, a bit like giving blood or being mugged at knifepoint (both things that can also happen in Camden, often with the aid of the same elderly transgendered punk). However, it turns out there’s a respectable way of crawling through Camden – it’s called, not unreasonably, the Camden Crawl, and it’s got an entirely comedy-based bit happening, which is where we’ll be. [...]

Let’s Get Previewing!

Edinburgh approaches. Already, disgustingly early in the year, it looms over the tip of the horizon like an implausible Japanese monster. Who will face this beast? Who will charge, full velocity, and tackle it with all of their might? Max and Ivan. That’s who. Flying in the face of plausibility, we have assembled *30 MINUTES* of our 2011 Edinburgh show, and we want YOU to see it. The show is tentatively titled ‘Max and Ivan: HOLMES [...]
