The Comedy Crawl! We’re on it!

We’ve all crawled through Camden at some point in our lives. It’s an inevitability, a bit like giving blood or being mugged at knifepoint (both things that can also happen in Camden, often with the aid of the same elderly transgendered punk). However, it turns out there’s a respectable way of crawling through Camden – it’s called, not unreasonably, the Camden Crawl, and it’s got an entirely comedy-based bit happening, which is where we’ll be.

Idiots of Ants, Pippa Evans as the psychotic Loretta Maine, Horse and Louis, The Beta Males and Max and Iván (clearly) will all be in attendance, plus videos from sketch gurus Pappy’s! Not our words! The words of an actual impartial outside third-party reviewer! And he’s describing us! Mental. Anyway, as it is well-documented that comedians thrive purely on the adoration of strangers, this delightful review will doubtless help keep the pangs of self-loathing at bay for another 48 hours or so (although if I’m honest, I’ve always felt I’m not quite needy or self-destructive enough to be a comic, it’s something I’m working on…).

I'm totally excited about this one.

Dear everyone. Our beautiful night of sketch and character comedy, The Roffle Club, is back and in business in London town, following three incredible nights up in Edinburgh sold out to well over capacity. If you would like to come to The Roffle Club, then come to the Grand Union in Kentish Town on October 3rd, at between 19.30 and 20.00. Tickets will be available online soon. Also, because nothing is official without a facebook event, voila.

Edinburgh so far: 11 days, 9 performances, a cumulative 4 hours sleep, 1745% more alcohol consumed than should be physically possible.

However, the shows have been going well. Really well. And the audiences have been amazing. So if you’ve been in the audience so far; brilliant! Thank you. You’re amazing. And you look hot. Hey, universe.

So, for reasons best known to the inventor of the internet, it has been decreed that every single comedy group performing at Edinburgh this year must have a blog. It’s simply the law. The good news is that this is the seminal Edinburgh blog, encapsulating every soaring high and agonising low of the aspiring Fringe comedians’ experience. Or it will, once this ridiculous month is over.
